What I Believe

Divide The Word has a simple mission of sharing the Word of God, the Gospel of Grace, and Faith in Jesus Christ as it was intended to be shared. We hope to share the simplicity of the Gospel and to contend for the faith that was once and for all delivered unto the saints. (Jude 1:3)

The Bible

I believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired and true words of God that is profitable for all and that it is the complete summation of prophecy and revelation. The Word is authoritative and complete, and it is not lacking in any way. That until the final coming of Christ, all revelation that will be given, has been given.
2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 1:1, Jude 1:3

The Godhead

I believe in One God in essence (mind, will and power) that eternally exists in three coequal and co-substantial persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Father is eternal and neither begotten nor proceeding. That the Son is eternally begotten of the Father, and the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son.
Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14

The Gospel

I believe in the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that all who place their faith in him and strive to do all that He commands will be eternally saved. When we place our complete trust in the finished work of Calvary we are sanctified, sealed with his Holy Spirit of Promise, and are equipped to endure until His final return. Hebrews 10:10, Acts 16:30-31, Ephesians 1:13

The Church

I believe, as Scripture teaches that each person who places their faith in Jesus Christ is immediately placed by the Holy Spirit into a single unified spiritual body, called the Church.
1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Ephesians 2:19-22

The church is the Bride of Christ, and our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
2 Corinthians 11:2, 1 Corinthians 6:19

The ultimate authority for the Church is Christ, as the head of Christ is God.
1 Corinthians 11:3

I believe that the church is called to the high purpose of sharing the Gospel, evangelism, discipleship and faith through the empowering Holy Spirit and the gifts that God gives each member of the body.
Ephesians 4:7-12, Romans 12:5-8, 1 Peter 4:10-11
