Divide The Word is a cloud-based ministry whose purpose is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world in such a way as to be available to all of God’s children. Free from denominational judgmentalism, free from race, color or creed stipulations.
Our Purpose needs to be His Purpose – that we would visit people in their time of distress, be a salt that still has its savor, a light set upon a hill for those lost in the darkness. We cannot and must not silo ourselves into little communes, sects of this denomination or that denomination, all vying to prove who is right, and who is wrong.
In Matthew 22, vs 37-40, Jesus responds to His disciple’s question, What is the greatest commandment?
You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and most important commandment. The second is exactly like it: ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’
Our mission is to fulfill these commandments through the Grace that God has given to each of us – His Word. He never commanded us to build large shining steeples, massive cathedrals, create denomination after denomination, and to divide His people with labels and ideologies.
He did, however, instruct us to go all over the world teaching His Commandments. And that is our mission!
“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28.
DivideTheWord.blog was created by Ralph Brickley, from McMinnville, OR in 2017. Ralph has a degree in Theology from Texas Bible College and has spent the past 15 years studying God’s Word and learning to love people the way God intended, without restrictions. This took some time.
“I spent 15-years building my faith as a leader in Bus Ministry/Outreach teams, Youth Bible Studies, teaching Faith-Based Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation Programs and caring for the souls of those around me. But, there came a day when I realized I had fallen into the trap that so many Christians have – the trap of legalism, and self-righteousness.”
“There was a time of painful self-discovery that had to come and is still in process. After my dear mother passed away January 20th, 2017, who was the epitome of unconditional love, there was a painful awakening in the aftermath at our church. We had family members who had left the church, and when you leave the church (our independent non-denominational denomination) you are disfellowshipped, potentially excommunicated. Even I fell prey to treating my own family members this way after they left our church.
The pastor didn’t want to allow those outside family members to attend or speak at my mother’s memorial service, and if they did come, and speak, they had to follow our dress standards, our laws, and commandments. We had to control what they wore, how they spoke, where they sat, where they stood. It was then I realized the trap we had fallen into. In memorializing unconditional love, we forced a lot of conditions to be part of the love.”
Thus, DivideTheWord.blog was born, out of a soul-searching desire to see the Gospel of God spread to all His Children, not just those who line up with man-made commandments, but for those whose hearts will turn to the Creator of all things.
And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. – Acts 16:30,31, KJV
Our purpose is to open the hearts of all humanity to the lifting message of Jesus Christ. Our desire is that men and women from all across the world can visit DivideTheWord.blog and be uplifted in their spirit, and know the Lord as he intended us to know Him – in faith, in spiritual communion between Creator and Created.
Our purpose is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ that excludes no one. His Word was intended to be heard by all, and His Word was meant to create hope, faith, and love, not division, labeling, and hate.
Our purpose is to create an atmosphere where God’s Word can be shared, free of judgmentalism, hate, or derogatory, negative applications. The message of Christ was a redemptive message, filled with hope that we can be free of the sinful natures that bind us, which includes judging others.
Our purpose is to imitate Christ. Paul commanded us to imitate him, as he imitated Christ. In so doing, we’ll sit before the adulteress and offer her faith and hope. We will sit before the prison guard and offer him redemption, and charity. We will stand before the pagan, and pray for the healing of his children.
Imitate me, just as I imitate Christ. – 1 Corinthians 11:1, AMP
Never has our world needed Christians to be real Christians more than it does today! James said that Pure Religion, Undefiled before God was giving of ourselves for the betterment of others.
Our purpose shouldn’t be a larger building, with bigger collections, more luxury vehicles, and Armani suits. Our purpose should be finding that person in distress and offering them a place beside our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, which is right beside you and I.
We hope and pray that you’ll support our purpose by praying for us, and by sharing anything you find of value in our blog. Furthermore, we pray you, as Spirit-led people will participate, share your thoughts, comments and ideas and carry on His Purpose with us.
