So I say this, we are to seek peace with all men. We are to guard our tongues, the most unruly member of our bodies. We are not to slander, or to lie against another. We are, however, commanded to challenge teachers, to learn their motivations, to ensure what they teach is true and not false doctrine. And when we find false doctrine, expose it, mark it, avoid it, and end it.

Forcing the Bible to say what your denomination wants it to say is a scary practice of heretically putting words in God’s mouth. The Scriptures can and will interpret themselves, and the Word says what it means, and means what it says! We cannot force the Bible to say what it does not say.

It seems that the most common phrase of religious abusers, and those who are bought in to the abusive system, attacking someone who questions their system, is “You are just bitter”. This defense mechanism holds to weight of fact, evidence or Scripture. Ignore it.
Is your faith and trust in God or your Pastor? When you seek wisdom, do you seek God or your Pastor? If you felt the Lord led you in a direction but your pastor said go a different way, did you obey the spirit or your pastor?
God is Holy. We are to strive to be like Him. We worship in the beauty of Holiness. Yet – what is it? Some say its a dress standard. Some say it is a spirit or heart condition. Could it be both? Does how you dress or behave make you Holy, or is it having the Holy One dwelling in you?
