Book Review: Facial Hair, A Christian Perspective

Clearly, the theme is to superimpose the man-made commandments and principles of the Oneness Pentecostal Church/Holiness movement over Scripture, blatantly admitting this isn’t something God dealt with personally. Knowing that Scripture is the more sure word of prophecy, I tend to believe if God meant for this to be an issue, He would have been wise enough to deal with it.

Pentecostal Fire? You better hope not!

In the ESV Bible, the word ‘Fire’ is found 465 times, in 424 verses. I couldn’t begin to list them.. suffice it to say, anyone asking for that fire to fall down clearly has no idea what ‘fire’ represented, and if you are ‘on fire’ for God, you are sitting in judgment and wrath and eternal torment in the Lake of Fire that is never quenched.

The Purpose of Prayer – Part 2

We even had songs we sang often that said, I’m claiming my Promise God has promised to me…I’m standing my ground, His word I believe. Are we putting Christ in the Back Room?

We all believe (well, most of us) that Jesus Christ is God, and that God came to the earth again to provide redemption for a people that were horribly lost. I Timothy 3:16 declares that the God who created all was manifest in the flesh. John 1 shows us that this […]

The Village Idiot (Long Read, but a good read!)

I was inspired to write this article after a friend insisted I watch the movie The Village, and I finally did, many months after the suggestion. The Village is a seemingly utopian mid-1800’s community where ‘fear of the outside’ is what keeps everyone in. Until the Village Idiot gets curious […]

Video Version: Recognizing Cult Talk/Patterns

This is the video production of Recognizing Cult Talk/Patterns Part 1. Recognizing the patterns of behavior, speech, and message of these organizations will save us from being taken in and help extract our loved ones from them. You can read the original articles, part 1 and part 2 as well […]
